Collection: Ron Palmer
At this year’s World’s Largest Tailgate, we’re coming together not just for the love of the game, but to stand beside everyday heroes facing extraordinary challenges.
One of those heroes is Ron Palmer, a 68-year-old husband, father, grandfather, friend, and fighter who was recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma—a rare and aggressive brain cancer that, right now, has no known cure.
Despite the diagnosis, Ron continues to live with a strength and spirit that inspire everyone around him. His motto?
“To Love and Serve and in God we Trust”
It’s more than just a joke—it’s Ron’s way of reminding us all to find joy even in the most challenging times, to laugh in the face of fear, and to live with humility, humor, and heart.
That’s why The Gary Powers Foundation is proud and honored to have Ron as a fundraising candidate through this year’s World’s Largest Tailgate. We are committed to helping support Ron and his family through this arduous journey because no one should face this fight alone.
We’ll be selling special t-shirts with Ron’s favorite saying—“In God We Trust and To Love and Serve”—with 100% of proceeds going directly to Ron and his family to help with medical expenses and support.
Ron’s courage reminds us what real strength looks like. It’s not just in surviving—it’s in smiling, laughing, and choosing to live fully, even in the face of the unknown.
So come tailgate with a purpose. Cheer for more than just your team.
Cheer for Ron. Cheer for life. Cheer for hope.
